On March 25, 2019, co-conservator of Britney Spears' estate, attorney Andrew Wallet, filed his notice of resignation from Spears' conservatorship. This left father Jamie Spears as the sole conservator of Britney Spears's estate and person. Britney Spears was not present for this filing.

Wallet wrote, "Substantial detriment, irreparable harm and immediate danger will result to the conservatee and her estate if the relief requested herein in not granted on an ex parte basis."
